Owner and main tattoo artist, Anointed Ink.
Nestor has been tattooing for 25+ years, working as Tat2Nestuhh. He opened Anointed Ink on 111th Street in Chicago Ridge and still does most of the work in the shop himself.
He does not limit himself to one style. Black and grey Chicano realism is what he is asked for most, the portraits and masks and script the style is built on, but the same week will take in color realism, Aztec and cultural work, memorials, anime and cover-ups.
The shop runs on a straightforward principle: quality takes time and experience, and neither of those is cheap. If you are shopping on price he will tell you plainly that he is not your artist. If you want something drawn specifically for you, and built to stay readable as it ages, that is the work.
A lot of what comes through the door is faith-led. Christ portraits, scripture, memorial pieces for people who have been lost. That is deliberate, and the shop’s name is not an accident.
